(New York) A coach carrying around fifty tourists overturned on a highway in the northern New York State, killing several people and dozens of injuries, police announced.
Most of the vehicle passengers are of Indian, Philippine or Chinese origin, she said.
The facts took place near Buffalo, in the Great Lakes region.
“It is a tourist coach that came from Niagara falls towards what we think is New York city, with more than 50 passengers on board, women, children also,” said James O’Callaghan, spokesperson for the state police, interviewed from local televisions.
“The coach was circulating east just before the release of Pembroke, and for unknown reasons lost control, went into the central media (…) and ended up in the ditch,” he continued.

The accident occurred on motorway I-90 near Pembroke, about 40 kilometers east of Buffalo.
He also said that people were still “taken” in the coach when others had been “ejected” from the vehicle.
“We think there is a child among the dead (…) and as we progress in this process, we lose more people,” said the police officer.
“There are several seriously injured, and as it has just been announced by New York State police, several dead,” also reported on the social network X Mark Poloncarz, head of the county of Erie.
At least 16 people were transported to the County of Erie hospital center, a spokesman for the hospital on ABC News said.
Many help have been sent on the spot, supported by several helicopters. Images relayed by televisions and social networks showed a coach lying on the side of the road, extremely damaged.
Kathy Hochul state governor published a message on X evoking “a tragic accident”. “My team is coordinating closely with New York State police and local officials working to help and provide assistance to all those involved.”
