A car explosion in the Bronx borough caused a massive fireball Wednesday, injuring seven New York City firefighters, authorities said.
Video taken by a witness shows flames burning near a vehicle moments before the explosion.
According to WABC, ABC’s New York affiliate, the explosion occurred after a dumpster fire spread to several vehicles.
The New York City Fire Department (FDNY) said in a post on X that five firefighters suffered burns to their hands and faces. Three of them were admitted to Jacobi Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
