A 23-year-old New York man who allegedly assaulted women by intentionally touching their buttocks in a Brooklyn park was arrested by police on Thursday.
William Nuesi, nicknamed the “Prospect Park prowler” for his serial nighttime attacks, allegedly assaulted at least four women, groping their buttocks over the summer, before fleeing in the dark.
The New York Police Department (NYPD) had raised the alarm about this perverted suspect who allegedly committed the attacks within a radius of a few blocks, according to the New York Post reported on Friday.
After his arrest on Thursday afternoon, the suspect was taken to the police station, but he remained silent on the accusations, while he is being prosecuted for several counts of assault and harassment, according to the “Post” which specifies that the victims are aged between 32 and 41.
“I felt safe in this neighborhood and I liked going for walks in the evenings after work to get some fresh air,” one of the victims told the American media, admitting that she had lost all sense of security, which now prevents her from going out to walk alone in the evening.
