(New York) For the third time in a few days, an American federal judge on Wednesday ordered the lifting of secrecy on legal documents relating to the case of sex criminal Jeffrey Epstein, who continues to poison the political life of the country.

The decision by New York judge Richard Berman concerns the details of the procedure launched against the New York financier in July 2019, the most serious concerning him, in particular for acts of sexual exploitation of minors.
This was not completed due to the person concerned’s suicide in prison in August of the same year.
On Tuesday, another federal judge in New York requested the lifting of judicial secrecy, this time in the proceedings against Ghislaine Maxwell, accomplice of Jeffrey Epstein. Same thing last week from a Florida judge, regarding documents from an initial Epstein trial in 2008.
These three decisions to make public testimony collected by a grand jury, the confidentiality of which is normally extremely protected in the United States, are based on the recent adoption of a law intended to ensure the greatest transparency in this matter.
This text requires the Department of Justice to make public by December 19 all of the unclassified documents in its possession on the New York financier, Ghislaine Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year prison sentence, and all people involved in the legal proceedings.
This text was adopted by Congress and promulgated by President Donald Trump, who initially vigorously opposed it.
Nothing says, however, that these new documents will contain new revelations. And if the deadline has been set for December 19, we still do not know when exactly, and how the Department of Justice will make all these documents public.
The death of Jeffrey Epstein, found hanging in his cell in New York on August 10, 2019 before another trial for sex crimes, has fueled countless conspiracy theories that he was murdered to cover up a scandal involving high-profile figures.
Donald Trump, who for months promised his base shattering revelations on this issue, disappointed his supporters by urging them to turn the page, now calling the affair a “hoax” used by his Democratic adversaries.
