While the solar eclipse will be with us in just a few days, more than half of the U.S. cities along its path are fully booked for the night of April 7-8.

According to data from the American company AirDNA, the occupancy rate of short-term registrations in cities where the eclipse passes is expected to exceed 92% on the night of Sunday April 7.
Yesterday, reservations were up to nearly 95% for rental properties in Dallas, 97% for those in Cleveland and more than 98% in the Niagara Falls area, AirDNA said.

Jamie Lane, the chief economist of SVP statistics at AirDNA, even said in an interview with CNBC that “they’re seeing people traveling from all over the country” to view the solar eclipse.

The phenomenon seems to extend to Quebec, especially in the Estrie region, which will be one of the most popular for observing the astronomical event.
