At least six members, belonging to the same two people, have been found scattered in several parks on Long Island, New York, since last Thursday.

Four people were detained and at least one was arrested in the grisly case on Tuesday, following a raid on a house of suspected suspects on Monday. No body was found in this house, but remains discovered in nearby parks are linked to this case, authorities explained according to the New York Post.

Police have not publicly identified the victims, but said in a statement that the assortment of members belonged to a 59-year-old woman and a 53-year-old man, both of whom lived in a nearby town, local media reported .

A first arm and a leg were found on February 29 by teenagers going to school. On Tuesday, investigators from the New York Police Department’s homicide section were combing the municipality in search of the remaining pieces of the two victims, American media reported.

According to NBC sources, a love triangle may be at the center of these murders.

The investigation continues as members are found strewn across parks across Long Island.

Police said the deaths appear to stem from an isolated incident and there was no ongoing threat to the public.
