(New York) The federal trial of Luigi Mangione, suspected of the murder of the largest American health insurance boss in New York in December 2024, will open on September 8 with the selection of jurors, according to American media ABC and CBS on Friday.

The debates will begin on October 13 if justice excludes the death penalty as a possible sanction. Otherwise, they would begin on January 11, 2027, said Judge Margaret Garnett.
