The administration of US President Donald Trump sent e -mail messages to employees of the US federal government yesterday evening, asking them to provide details tomorrow, Monday, the achievements they achieved in their work the previous week, or they will risk losing their jobs.

Email messages ask employees to respond with 5 brief points, summarizing “what you accomplished at work last week” and reports to their superiors.

The legal basis

It was not clear what is the legal basis on which Musk is based on the layoff of federal employees if they did not respond to his request and what will happen to employees who cannot provide details about the nature of their work when it is secret.

The main union of federal employees has promised to challenge any “illegal” end of work contracts.

“Once again, Elon Musk and Trump’s administration showed their absolute contempt for federal employees and the basic services they provided to the American people,” union president Evere Kelly said in a statement.

Employees of Agence France Presse confirmed that they had received advice from their agencies not to respond to this email, pending more instructions.
