(Los Angeles) Precarious calm reigns in Los Angeles on Friday before the demonstrations scheduled for Saturday across the country against Donald Trump’s policy, at the same time as the great military parade wanted by the Republican President for the 250 years of the American army.
The night went without incident in the megalopolis where a large Hispanic population saw, theater in the past few days of demonstrations against the muscular arrest of foreigners in an irregular situation.

“Thank you for this decision!” Hailed Donald Trump on Friday. “If I had not sent the soldiers to Los Angeles, the city would be burning completely at the moment,” he reaffirmed on his social social platform.

Seized by the Governor Democratic of the State Gavin Newsom, a federal judge had estimated illegal at first instance on Thursday the order given by the president to deploy the National Guard to face the anti-expressions of migrants. The magistrate had at the same time ordered that the control of this double guardianship reserve body was returned to the Democratic Governor.

A central figure in the Democratic opposition, Mr. Newsom, 57, is considered a possible Democratic candidate for the 2028 presidential election.

Tensions broke out on June 6 when demonstrators began to protest against antimigrant raids led by immigration police (ICE).
Largely peaceful, the demonstrations were however marked by sometimes spectacular violence, with burned cars, the looting of shops, fireworks jets or the cut of a large fast way.

But these clashes remained “far” from the “rebellion” described by Donald Trump to justify the deployment of soldiers, said judge Breyer.
The president “is not a monarch, he is not a king, and he should stop acting as such,” reacted Gavin Newsom after the decision of the trial judge.
Donald Trump promised during his campaign to attack “criminals from abroad”. But his efforts to combat illegal immigration have largely exceeded this framework and targeted in particular Latin American immigrants, essential for certain sectors of activity.

In Mexico, where a number of undocumented migrants are from the United States from, President Claudia Sheinbaum explained that she said to a senior American official that she “did not agree on the use of police descents to arrest people who work honestly”.
