(Los Angeles) A vehicle rushed on people who were line up to enter a nightclub along a lively boulevard in Los Angeles, California, early on Saturday, injuring 30 people. The driver was then killed, according to the police, who was looking for an alleged shooter who fled.
A Los Angeles police spokesman said he was not clear if the driver had been shot before or after the accident or why he had rushed into the crowd.
The victims were transported to local hospitals and trauma centers, according to Captain Adam Van Gerpen, head of public information for the fire service of the city of Los Angeles. At least three people were in critical condition during their transport to the hospital.
The victims were hit along boulevard Santa Monica in East Hollywood, the fire service said in a press release.
Mr. Van Gerpen said that a line of people-mostly women-were waiting to enter the establishment when they were struck by a Nissan Versa vehicle which also struck a hot-dog kiosk and a valet position.

The paramedics discovered that one of the patients had a gunshot wound, said Adam Van Gerpen. The identity of this person was not known, he told the agency The Associated Press.
