The Ministry of Electricity in Kuwait announced – today, Wednesday, the current cut off some industrial and agricultural areas, due to the high electric loads and maintenance work in some of the generation units, before it later confirmed the return of the current to all areas.
The electrical cutting operations are known to reduce the loads on the network in Kuwait “programmed pieces”, as the current is cut off from some areas during the afternoon periods that represent the peak of consumption due to the heavy use of air conditioning devices.

The temperatures in Kuwait -a member of OPEC -increased by 10 degrees during the past week, up to about 38 degrees Celsius.
The Ministry of Electricity announced through X today the start of the separation of the electrical current from “limited parts” from some agricultural areas in Abdali, Al -Rawdatin and Al -Wafra, and some industrial areas in the port of Abdullah, Zaban, the Industrial Crusader, Irrigation, and Shuwaikh industrial.
The ministry said earlier that the pieces would not exceed 3 hours a day, if it occurred.
The stability of the system
Later, the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy announced the stability of the electrical system and the return of the current to all the areas that witnessed interruption.
The ministry said – in a press release – that it was able, in coordination with the Gulf Electric Electricity Authority, to support and ensure its stability, noting that the precautionary measures that were taken effectively contributed to the complete restoration of the current.

The Ministry called on citizens and residents to the importance of rationalizing electricity consumption, especially during peak times from 11 am until five in the evening.
