Savannah Guthrie explained on Instagram on Monday that she thought her mother was “still alive”, but that her family had reached “the hour of despair”.

The authorities favor the kidnapping theory.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt began her press briefing Tuesday by saying that President Donald Trump had just reviewed the footage.

“The president encourages any American with any information about the suspect, anywhere in the country, to call the FBI,” she said.
