A 25-year-old man angry after being ejected from a strip club allegedly drove a semi-truck through the front door, killing an innocent patron Tuesday after waiting half an hour for his target to leave the bar.
It was around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday that the young American allegedly hit the accelerator, targeting half a dozen individuals in front of the door of the Emperors Gentlemen’s Club in Tampa, Florida, reported the New York Post Wednesday.
According to witnesses, the young man had been thrown out of the strip club earlier in the night, before returning to the scene with a semi-trailer to wait patiently for the person he was arguing with to leave the bar, Tampa police Major Patrick Messmer reportedly told the American media.
He is said to have waited at least half an hour before heading straight towards “a group of people standing at the entrance”, under a sign that read “completely naked”, according to images circulating on social media.
In the attack, a customer who was not the trucker’s target was reportedly killed and two others were injured, according to the NYP.
The 25-year-old driver, for his part, was reportedly hospitalized in critical but stable condition.
When he wakes up, he will face charges of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, involuntary manslaughter while intoxicated, vehicular homicide and drunken driving with serious bodily harm, according to the American media.
