“Israel is totally losing the communications war,” Mr. Trump said in an interview broadcast Thursday on The Hugh Hewitt Show.

“We have to put an end to this and return to normality,” he added. “You need a victory, and that takes a long time.”

The deadly war in the Gaza Strip began on October 7 with an unprecedented attack by Hamas in Israel, which left 1,160 dead, mostly civilians, according to an AFP count based on official figures. Israelis.

Israel’s retaliatory campaign has since left more than 33,037 people dead, according to Hamas’ health ministry.

Candidate for the American presidential election at the end of the year, Donald Trump believes that the images of destruction in Gaza broadcast everywhere in the media are not doing Israel any favors.

“Every night they broadcast videos of a building collapsing. They should not release such videos. They do it, that’s why they lose the communication war. They…Israel is totally losing the communications war,” he said.

“Let’s return to peace and stop killing people,” he added.

These comments came as US President Joe Biden, campaigning for a second term, for the first time on Thursday reversed his line of unconditional support for Israel, yielding to increasingly intense political pressure, including within of his own party.
