Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shi’a Al -Sudani announced today, Saturday, his country’s initiative to establish an Arab fund to support recovery efforts and post -crisis reconstruction, conflicts and wars.
This came, according to the Anatolia correspondent.
Al -Sudani said -during his speech at the 34th Arab Summit held in Baghdad: “We announce 18 ambitious initiatives to stimulate joint Arab action, foremost of which is the initiative to establish the Arab Fund to support recovery efforts, and to rebuild post -crisis, conflicts and wars.”
The Sudanese declared support, the reconstruction of Gaza as a result of the Israeli aggression in the amount of $ 20 million, and the same for Lebanon.
“We confirm here the contribution of Iraq with the amount of $ 20 million to the reconstruction of Gaza, and the amount of 20 million dollars for the reconstruction of brotherly Lebanon,” he said.
Al -Sudani considered today, that “the genocide that the Palestinians are exposed to reached out of ugliness, unless all the struggles of history witnessed.”
On Thursday, Arab Foreign Ministers approved the provisions of the summit agenda, foremost of which is the Palestinian issue, between 5 files and 5 initiatives.

In a related context, the Iraqi Prime Minister’s decision is the decision of the United States of America to lift the sanctions against Syria, expressing his hope that “this step will contribute to alleviating the suffering of the brotherly Syrian people.”
The Sudanese reaffirmed Iraq’s “steadfast and supportive” position of its unity and sovereignty over its soil, and rejected any attack or domination of any land in it.
He said: “We will not spare any effort to support the brothers in Syria to establish a state of citizenship and build a democratic constitutional system through a comprehensive transitional process that guarantees the rights of the Syrian people, freedom of religions for all its components and fights terrorism in its various forms.”
US President Donald Trump announced during the “Saudi -American Investment Forum 2025” in Riyadh, his intention to lift the sanctions imposed on Syria.
