Iran on Wednesday called on the United States to “stop using the language of threat”, while Washington promised retaliation after the death of three soldiers in an attack blamed on a pro-Iranian group.

“America must stop using the language of threat” and must “focus on a political solution,” Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said during the cabinet meeting, according to the official agency. Irna.

He promised that Iran’s response would be “incisive and immediate” in the event of an attack by the United States.

American President Joe Biden, who said he held Iran “responsible” for having provided the weapons necessary for the drone attack that targeted an American logistics base in Jordan on Sunday, promised a response on Tuesday that will probably take the form of “multiple” retaliation.

The Islamic Republic denied any involvement in the strike and asserted that anti-US armed groups in the Middle East took “no orders from the Islamic Republic.”

The head of the Revolutionary Guards, the ideological army of the Islamic Republic, General Hossein Salami, warned on Wednesday that Iran was ready to “respond” to any attack.

“We are not looking for war, but we are not afraid of war,” he declared, quoted by the Tasnim agency.

In recent weeks, the American army has responded in a targeted manner against pro-Iran groups in Iraq and Syria, just as it has struck the Houthi rebels in Yemen, a movement supported by Tehran which is increasing attacks against ships. in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
