A Wisconsin woman reportedly had quite a scare when she returned home late Wednesday, when she discovered a stranger in her home, who allegedly infiltrated the home to cook shrimp pasta.
“(The resident) was frightened to find all the lights on, as she was out most of the day. She called the police when she saw someone walking around inside,” the Madison Police Department said in its incident report, reported by Fox News.
Around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, police authorities were called to the home of a Wisconsin woman, who was preparing to return home when she allegedly noticed the presence of an unknown woman who was “casually walking” in inside his home, they noted.
When the agents knocked on the door, the intruder, identified as Joanna Kelly Lee, calmly opened, before claiming to have received approval from the owner – whom she then named by her name – to find herself in the home.
Still according to her statements, the resident of the premises had lent her a key earlier in the day after meeting her in a local café, she allegedly told the agents, according to the report.
“Lee had been in the house long enough to cook himself a dinner of pasta and shrimp, and had apparently inspected the mail and other items to learn the resident’s name and make up a story,” police said.
For her part, the resident of the residence allegedly maintained that she did not know the intruder, and that she certainly did not give him permission to enter her home and consume her food, the report continued.
With a full stomach, Joanna K. Lee was placed under arrest for residential burglary, according to Madison police, before ending her evening in the Dane County jail.
