On the other hand, Newsweek magazine highlighted the escalation of tension in the Red Sea, and quoted analysts saying that this crisis may cause a new wave of high global inflation and obstruct supply chains, which in turn may lead to higher prices.
The French newspaper Le Monde touched on China’s position on the tension in the Red Sea, as the newspaper’s analysis saw that Beijing preferred to distance itself and ignore Washington’s request for it to intervene with Iran.
The newspaper adds, “China reaps benefits from staying out of the game. In addition to the fact that its economy was not harmed by the disruption of navigation in the Red Sea, it realizes that direct intervention has a price.”
