Several international airlines stopped their flights to and from Tel Aviv again, after a missile fired by the Yemeni Houthi group last Sunday near Ben Gurion Airport, the main international airport in Israel, according to Reuters.
Foreign airlines had resumed their flights to Israel earlier this year after the ceasefire agreement with the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in January, after a long hiatus that continued since the outbreak of the war on October 7, 2023. However, the recent developments prompted many companies to cancel or suspend their flights again.
Below are the most prominent companies that have announced the suspension of their flights:
- Igine Airlines (Greece): Her flights to Tel Aviv until May 13, including the morning trip for May 14.
- Air Paltik (Latvia): It stopped its flights to and from Tel Aviv until May 11.
- Air Europa (Spain): All flights were canceled until May 7.
- Air France -KLM (France and the Netherlands): KLM stopped its flights until May 30, while Air France canceled its flights on May 4.
