Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell apologized Monday to fans, band members and his guitarist, whom he attacked during a show in Boston last Friday.

“This weekend has been incredibly difficult,” Mr Farrell told the US magazine. Variety through a representative. “After having the time and space to reflect, it is only fitting that I apologize to my bandmates, especially Dave Navarro, fans, family and friends for my actions during Friday’s show. Unfortunately, my breaking point resulted in inexcusable behavior, and I take full responsibility for how I chose to handle the situation.”
The musician did not, however, provide any details as to the motive behind this altercation which turned into blows on the stage of the Leader Bank Pavilion in Boston.

Earlier in the day, Mr. Navarro and two other band members announced the cancellation of the second half of their reunion tour.
The joint statement also cited the singer’s alleged “mental health difficulties” that led to the fight.
Last Friday night, Mr Farrell lost his temper after performing the song Ocean Size.
The artist began to insult the crowd before turning to his colleague to push him and hit him in the chest.
The singer had to be dragged off stage by members of the technical crew, bringing the evening to an abrupt end.
