Amazon boss Jeff Bezos was denied access to the Port Everglades marina in Florida because his 416-foot (127-meter) yacht was too big to anchor there, reports the Daily Mail.

The third richest man on the planet learned this week that his huge pleasure boat could not be accommodated among other yachts due to its size.

The businessman therefore had to resolve to drop anchor among cargo ships, oil tankers and cruise ships.

His yacht, named Koru, arrived in Florida on Wednesday after leaving Gibraltar two weeks earlier.

In addition to the 500 million US dollars (675 million Canadian dollars) spent to buy this immense pleasure boat, Jeff Bezos spends around $25 million (34 million Canadian dollars) per year to operate his yacht.
