A recruitment video for the American immigration police published on the social networks of the White House on Tuesday arouses controversy with Internet users.
The video in question shows different muscular arrests carried out during the last months by the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and agents of the Department of Internal Security. She is accompanied by the song Bad boys of the Reggae Inner Circle group, popularized in the 1990s by the documentary program Cops and the film Bad boys.
The ICE is carrying out a massive recruitment campaign in order to meet the Trump administration’s new requirements in terms of deportations. The Department of Internal Security claims on its site that it has received 100,000 candidates “patriotic Americans who want to help expel murderers, gang members, pedophiles and terrorists from the United States” in order to provide displayed positions.
Viewed almost a million times on X, the recruitment video is controversial. Users denounce it while others demonstrate their support for the new management taken by the United States government.
This is not the first time that the White House has aroused controversy with its publications on the subject. The posting of photos and videos of chained immigrants being deported had also reacted to the end of January.
