Florida prepares to face one of the worst hurricanes with Milton which has been alternating between category 4 and category 5 for several days. A look back at other hurricanes that have been devastating in the United States.

It will make landfall during the night from Wednesday to Thursday between midnight and 2 a.m. Experts even suggest that Milton would be the worst hurricane of the century.

Andrew was classified as category 5.
The hurricane caused approximately US$30 billion in damage and is estimated to have caused 30 deaths.
Sandy
In October 2012, the states of New York and New Jersey received visits from Sandy.
The Category 3 storm caused 8.2 million outages.
