An American repeat offender was arrested in Maryland after causing a spectacular accident in a stolen vehicle with several cars, four of which belonged to the police.
The suspect in a 2011 Hyundai Tiburon was seen Friday outside a fast food chain on Branch Avenue damaging several cars.
The driver then hit a sedan in which a man and a 6-year-old child were traveling.
At least one police officer was injured in the collision that saw four Marlow Heights police vehicles, according to what the “New York Post” reported, citing the FOX 5 network.
A passenger in the stolen vehicle threw herself to the ground, before telling police that she had nothing to do with the affair.
The car was stolen from a woman living in Southeast Washington, said Marlow Heights Police Lt. Moses Edwards.
The homeowner who had a prior vehicle theft told FOX 5 the suspect broke into her home before starting the car without her keys.
The theft of vehicles which has increased in this American state is beginning to worry the authorities who are unable to stem this phenomenon.
