A 15-year-old Ohio boy allegedly attacked his teacher during a drug-induced hallucination, leaving the teacher with severe brain injuries.

The high school student appeared lost after ingesting an unknown drug in a classroom at his high school Thursday, according to a police report.

He allegedly hit the 60-year-old professor in the head, causing her serious brain damage, reported the New York Post. The teen is also accused of assaulting another student by grabbing him and pinching his neck.

The teacher was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where the upper part of her skull had to be removed to prevent damage from the swelling.

The teenager was found hallucinating with a self-inflicted wound, detailed the American media.

The school said the attack was “an isolated incident” and is continuing its investigation.

Police are also continuing their investigation and the student will face disciplinary action from the school district.
