Ghouta of Damascus is distinguished by its vast and fertile agricultural lands and diverse crops, making it a major source of food for the capital and its countryside.

But Ghouta’s agricultural and pasture production declined significantly due to the policy of the ousted regime and the siege it imposed on it for many years. Al Jazeera correspondent Omar Abdel Latif visited Ghouta of Damascus and prepared this report.
