The Georgia Bureau of Investigation confirmed the identities of the four Apalachee High School shooting victims in a social media post late Wednesday night.

They are Mason Schermerhorn (14 years old), Christian Angulo (14 years old), Richard Aspinwall (39 years old) and Christina Irimie (53 years old).

Here is what we know about the four victims:

Richard Aspinwall

The 39-year-old was a math teacher, according to the Apalachee High School website, and an assistant football coach.

A student of the teacher interviewed by the American network CNN described him as a “kind and friendly” person.

“He was always pushing his students to make sure they performed well in his class,” the emotional student told CNN.

The football team he coached said in a post on the X platform that it appreciated the support it received from the community.

Christina Irimie

The 53-year-old woman was also a math teacher, according to the high school’s website.

A student, Isaac Sanguma, told CBS Mornings that he had difficulty in mathematics, but that Christina Irimie was a “really nice” teacher.

USA Today reports that the woman, of Romanian origin, immigrated to the United States with her husband nearly 20 years ago.

She was involved in the Romanian Orthodox community in the area, which said it was “really in shock” after the tragedy.

Mason Schermerhorn

The 14-year-old was described as a cheerful youngster who enjoyed spending time with his family, reading, telling jokes and playing video games, according to the New York Times.

“He really loved life,” said Doug Kilburn, a friend of the deceased teenager’s mother, the New York Times. “He always had a positive attitude about everything.”

Christian Angulo

The teenager, also 14, was described by his older sister as a “very good boy” who was “very kind and caring”.

She also created a GoFundMe to raise money for the student’s funeral.

Under a photo of the teenager behind a party cake for his 14the birthday, his sister, Lisette Angulo, wrote in part: “His loss was so sudden and unexpected. We are devastated. He really did not deserve this.”
