Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant hinted on Tuesday that Tel Aviv carried out operations in several countries coinciding with the war on the Gaza Strip. He also warned of the repercussions of failure to achieve the declared goals of this war.

“We are in a multi-front war and are under attack on 7 fronts: Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, the West Bank, Iraq, Yemen and Iran,” Galant said at a meeting of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee. “We have already responded and taken measures on 6 of these fronts.” But he did not clarify the nature of those procedures and where they took place specifically.

Since Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on October 7, the Israeli occupation army has been waging a devastating war on Gaza that left 20,915 martyrs and 54,918 wounded as of Monday, according to what the Ministry of Health in the Strip announced.

Parties from Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Yemen intervened to support the Palestinian resistance by targeting Israeli sites and other American forces in the region, and preventing navigation in the Red Sea towards Israeli ports.

Regarding the course of the war on Gaza, the Israeli Defense Minister reiterated that it will be a long and difficult war with “heavy costs,” but it has justifications, according to him.

Gallant believed that failure to achieve the war’s goals – which are eliminating Hamas and returning Israeli prisoners – will lead to a problem because the Israelis “will not want to live in a place where we do not know how to protect them.”

The Israeli army acknowledged the killing of 492 of its officers and soldiers since the Al-Aqsa flood, including about 160 since the start of its ground attack on Gaza on October 27 last year.
