House Democrats on Friday released a selection of photos from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate, some of which show Donald Trump, Bill Clinton and the former Prince Andrew.

The 19 photos released by Democratic lawmakers on the House Oversight Committee represent just a small portion of the more than 95,000 photos they received from the estate of Epstein, who died in a New York prison cell in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.

The photos are not among the files the Justice Department is now forced to release, but anticipation is growing as the Trump administration must meet next week’s deadline to produce the Epstein files, which have for years been the source of conspiracy theories and speculation.

The photos were posted without captions or context and included a black-and-white image of Trump alongside six women whose faces were obscured.

Rep. Robert Garcia, the top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, would not say whether any of the women in the photos were victims of abuse, but he added: “From day one, we have been committed to redacting any photos or information that could harm any of the victims in any way.” »

A spokesperson for the Republican-controlled House Oversight Committee accused Garcia and Democratic lawmakers of “cherry-picking photos and making targeted redactions in order to create a false narrative about President Trump,” adding that nothing in the documents received by the committee shows “any wrongdoing” on the president’s part.

Many of these photos have already been released to the public. Democrats have vowed to continue releasing photos in the coming days and weeks, to pressure Trump following his Republican administration’s earlier refusal to release documents in the Epstein investigation. Garcia said his team reviewed about a quarter of the images received from Epstein’s estate, among which were photos sent to him or that he had in his possession.

“Donald Trump must now release the files to the American public so that the truth can be revealed and we can truly bring justice to the survivors,” Garcia added.

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the photos.
