A TikTok video has gone viral in which user “jencomtois” explains having won a 2023 Monopoly prize and quickly going from euphoria to the most bitter disappointment.

The video, titled “Maybe I should play the lottery now,” was viewed more than 500,000 times in two days.

“I won McDonald’s Monopoly 2023 this year. You’re probably wondering how much I made. Hmm… that’s a lot! Let me show you the check. How many zeros there are,” she quips.
Jen then reveals a check for 20 US dollars ($27 CAN), and adds: “It changes my life, guys. In this economy, $20… Maybe I can buy an apple.”
