In what could be a highlight of the 2024 US presidential campaign, incumbent President Joe Biden faces off against former President Donald Trump tonight in a first televised debate. The 90-minute debate begins at 9pm on CNN and will be hosted by Jake Tapper and Dana Bash. It is a high-stakes exercise for both candidates who will be seeking election on November 5. A second debate is scheduled for September on ABC.
