Türkiye’s exports to Africa amounted to $ 1.5 billion during last January, while countries in the north of the continent acquired the major share of these exports.
According to data obtained by Anatolia from the Turkish Exporters Council, the total Turkish exports amounted to 21.2 billion dollars abroad, last January, recording an increase of 5.8% compared to the same month from 2024.
The country’s exports to all African countries reached 1.5 billion dollars last month, and exports to North African countries constituted 67% of the total Turkish exports to the continent, at a billion dollars.
Turkish exports recorded 7.1% to the African continent in general, and by 12.7% to North African countries.
Among the countries of North Africa:
- Egypt has emerged as the largest importer of Turkish exports at a value of $ 256.3 million in Turkish commodities.
- Morocco finished second with $ 225.3 million.
- Then Libya is 186.5 million dollars.
On the level of the most exported sectors to North African countries, chemical exports and their products ranked first, with a value of 178.7 million dollars.
