A 73-year-old man injured 30 people when he plowed his car into an Arizona restaurant Saturday night.

According to NBC News, the 70-year-old, who was intoxicated, was trying to leave the establishment’s parking lot when he drove into the restaurant.
Thomas Edward Kain was arrested by police in the small town of Apache Junction, according to NBC News.
According to local authorities, alcohol was a major factor in the 73-year-old American’s car accident.
“This crash shows how dangerous it is to drive while drinking,” Apache Junction police said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
At least ten people were taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries. Another person is in critical but stable condition, according to NBC News.
