Valentina Gomez, the Republican candidate for Secretary of State of Missouri, made a notable rant on social networks on Sunday by publishing a video in which she proclaims that in America, “don’t be gay and weak”.

The images were captured in a neighborhood known for welcoming a large LGBTQ+ community. The 25-year-old politician can be seen running down the street wearing a bulletproof vest.
“In America you can do whatever you want, so don’t be gay and weak. Stay strong,” she said. The latter even identified the accounts of the controversial influencer Andrew Tate, known for his misogynistic comments and involved in a case of rape, human trafficking and sexual exploitation.
The music of rapper the great Lupe Fiasco was used in the video, which sparked a reaction from the artist who is known for his defense of homosexuals.
“We are aware of the situation and we are seeking to take action,” the musician wrote in reaction to the publication.
The woman’s comments also caused Jason Kander, a former Democratic elected official from Missouri, to react.
“It’s so refreshing to see a Republican candidate who has never served in the military disguise herself as a veteran to spread hatred like any man,” he wrote on X.
