“I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” (“I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!“) wrote in capital letters in his Truth Social network the former president and Republican candidate in the November 5 election.
At the MTV Video Music Awards, the ceremony honoring the best videos of the year, Taylor Swift hammered home her call for her millions of young American fans to register to vote in the presidential election.
Immediately after the televised debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris on September 10, the 34-year-old pop star made official on Instagram her support for the Democratic candidate, “a gifted and strong leader” who “fights for causes and rights that I believe in.”
Taylor Swift had then encouraged those “over 18” to register “to vote”.
According to the American press, citing the government website Vote.com, Taylor Swift’s highly anticipated support for Kamala Harris immediately triggered visits to the site by more than 400,000 people seeking information on how to register to vote, a complex process in some American states.
