After two days of deliberations, the 12 jurors unanimously declared Donald Trump guilty of all 34 crimes of falsifying accounting documents, an operation intended to hide a payment of $130,000 to porn actress Stormy Daniels to avoid a sex scandal at the very end of his 2016 presidential campaign.

The judge set sentencing for July 11 at 10 a.m.
Prison is possible in theory, with falsification of accounting documents being punishable by a maximum of four years in New York State.
But in the absence of a criminal record for the almost 78-year-old defendant, the judge could impose an alternative sentence such as a sentence to be served in the community or community work as well as a fine.
In any case, Donald Trump risks appealing, with, most likely, a suspensive effect on his sentence, particularly in the event of prison.
A criminal conviction, the first for a former American president, would not invalidate his candidacy in the November 5 election.
