Donald Trump, who has always presented himself as a strong, self-confident and in-control character, seems to have lost all his means since Kamala Harris became the Democratic candidate following Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the presidential race, points out John Parisella.
“The word ‘destabilize’ is probably the best word to describe him,” says the American politics expert. “I’ve never seen him in that situation and I’ve been following him for several years.”
Mr Parisella actually believes that the billionaire businessman has lost his bearings “in this campaign that he did not expect to have”.
He mentioned during his interview on Friday on LCN that Kamala Harris can, for her part, present a “vision of the future” of America that could span two terms (eight years), while her opponent is limited to just one since he has already been president for four years.
The specialist adds that the choice of Tim Walz as M’s running mateme Harris’s campaign appeared to be much more beneficial to the vice president’s campaign than J.D. Vance’s campaign did to Trump.
“Mr. Walz and Mr.me Harris makes a very interesting pairing,” the expert argues. “She went looking for a vice presidential candidate who captures the imagination, who gives the impression of being well connected.”
Although Mr. Parisella points out that there are still nearly 80 days left before the presidential election, he specifies that the Democratic candidate leads in “five or six” of the seven key states, according to the latest polls.
“She could actually win this election. I’m pretty sure she’s going to win the popular vote, it’s still the question of the electoral college, but she’s in a good position right now and that’s what’s affecting Mr. Trump,” the guest explains.
The Democratic Party convention begins next week. This will be a great time to learn more about the vice president’s goals and plans.
