(Miami) Donald Trump asked the judge responsible for his defamation complaint on Monday for an article in the Wall Street Journal to collect as soon as possible the testimony of the Rupert Murdoch media magnate, notably invoking its age, 94 years.
This judge of Miami, in Florida, in the process given in Rupert Murdoch, patron of News Corp, the group of media to which the belongs Wall Street Journaluntil August 4 to possibly oppose this request for the opposing party.
The American president claims billions of dollars on a daily basis for an article attributing a health letter to him for Jeffrey Epstein in 2003 for the 50e anniversary of this one, which he categorically denies.
The death of Jeffrey Epstein, a rich businessman found hanged in his cell in New York on August 10, 2019 before his judgment for sexual crimes, fueled countless conspiracy theories that he was murdered to prevent embarrassing revelations on leading personalities.
Donald Trump’s lawyers argue in their request that “Mr. Murdoch has just been 94 years old and has known, but fortunately overcome, multiple health problems”, including recently.
In addition, he resides in New York, far from Miami where this case is judged. “We can therefore presume, both because of his age and his health, and/or the distance separating him from this court, that he will not be available at the trial”, the date of which has not yet been fixed, they add.

Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein
In addition, Ghislaine Maxwell’s lawyer, ex-partner and accomplice of Jeffrey Epstein, produced a new argument on Monday in support of the appeal of his client before the Supreme Court to obtain the cancellation of the proceedings which led to his conviction in 2022 to 20 years in prison for sexual traffic.
In particular, he criticizes the Department of Justice for opposing this appeal by trying to “make a diversion by a sordid and out -of -subject review of the actions of Jeffrey Epstein”.
“This case concerns what the government has promised, not what Epstein did,” he said.
On July 14, the Department of Justice was dryly opposed to this appeal.
But he has since changed his tone towards Ghislaine Maxwell. The number two of the department, Todd Blanche, former personal lawyer of Donald Trump, went last week until going to Tallahassee, the capital of Florida, where she purges her sentence, to question him for a day and a half.
Donald Trump, who for months has promised his basis of shattering revelations on this file, underwent a return of flame, including in his own camp, since his government announced in early July that he had discovered any new element which would justify the publication of additional documents.
