The DHL Express, affiliated with the German Postal Authority, said it will suspend shipments of more than $ 800 from international companies to individual consumers in the United States from tomorrow, Monday, after it has prolonged change of American regulatory regulations for the duration of customs clearance.

The notice published by the company on its website was not a historian, but the descriptive data showed that it was placed on Saturday.

The company attributed the reason for the suspension to the new American customs bases that require an official treatment to enter all shipments of more than $ 800, after the minimum was previously $ 2500 until the release of an amendment on April 5.

Corporate shipments

The company explained that it will not hang the shipments between companies, but it may be delayed, and shipments of less than $ 800 will not be affected, whether for companies or consumers with these changes, and stated in a statement that this step is a temporary procedure.

The company stated last week that it will continue to deal with shipments from Hong Kong to the United States “according to the applicable customs rules and regulations”, and that it “will work with its customers to help them understand the changes set on May 2 and adapt to it.”

This came after the Hong Kong Post Authority said last week that it had suspended postal services for the sea sent to the United States, which accused it of “bullying” after Washington canceled the provisions of exempting the exchange of parcels coming from China and Hong Kong from customs duties.
