(Washington) Democratic elected officials in Congress on Wednesday accused Attorney General Pam Bondi of “covering up” the Epstein affair by not respecting the law requiring the Trump administration to be fully transparent on this politically explosive issue.

“You don’t show much concern for the victims, Madam Attorney General, whether they are those of Epstein’s exploitation network or the deadly government violence against American citizens in Minneapolis,” Ms.me Jumped by the House Judiciary Committee Jamie Raskin, senior member of this committee.
He was referring in particular to two demonstrators protesting against the immigration police (ICE) killed in January by federal police officers.
You are on the side of the perpetrators of crimes and you ignore the victims. This will be your bottom line, unless you quickly change course. You are leading the Justice Department’s massive cover-up of the Epstein affair.
Jamie Raskin, elected Democrat
Of the “more than three million pages” of the Epstein file published on January 30 by the Department of Justice, “you redacted the names of the exploiters and accomplices, apparently to spare them embarrassment and discredit, which is exactly the opposite of what the law ordered you to do,” Mr. Raskin stressed.
The minister defended the publication of the documents by her services. “I have spent my entire career fighting for victims and I will continue to do so,” she assured, saying she was “deeply sorry” for all the victims, in particular of Jeffrey Epstein, a sex criminal who died in prison in August 2019 before his trial for sexual exploitation.
The mass of documents published on January 30 do not contain any new elements that could lead to additional prosecutions, warned the number 2 of the Department of Justice, Todd Blanche.
The Trump administration has fulfilled its obligation, imposed by a law adopted in November by Congress, to be fully transparent about this matter, said Mr. Blanche, Donald Trump’s former personal lawyer.
Although the mere mention of a person’s name in the file does not imply any reprehensible act a priori on their part, many personalities fear the shock wave of revelations about their past links with the sex criminal.
