A restaurant that has just opened its doors in Missouri has invented a new concept by refusing young customers to prevent them from “making a mess.”
Thus, women under 30 and men under 35 have no interest in venturing in front of the door of “Bliss” which they cannot cross to sit down, according to what was reported the New York Post.
The establishment justifies this exclusion, which can startle restaurateurs forced to close shop for lack of customers, by the desire of its 36-year-old owner to guarantee “a mature, sophisticated and safe environment”.
“Of course, we have received some negative negations,” admitted to the local newspaper Marvin Pate, who maintains that the approach adopted constitutes a “representation of pure happiness and pure utopia”, despite its discriminatory nature.
The owner of the “Bliss” wants to apply this new age code to the letter, since hostesses can demand proof of identity from customers at reception in case of doubt about age, continued the American media .
The 30-year-old is convinced that customer filtering can allow older customers to have a good time and enjoy “high-end” Caribbean cuisine without having to “worry that a horde of young people will come and put the bazaar”.
