A 50-year-old Pennsylvania man who stabbed his neighbor after he criticized him for his loud snoring has been sentenced to a year in prison.
Christopher Casey, 56, of Upper Moreland, a Philadelphia suburb, pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and apologized to the family of 62-year-old victim Robert Wallace.
According to court documents, the two protagonists had an argument in January, when the accused threatened to kill the victim who asked him to stop his loud snoring, reported the New York Post.
The argument lasted about twenty minutes after the victim offered to pay for surgery to stop his snoring, a proposition that apparently sparked the dispute.
Probably upset by the proposal, the suspect then stabbed the victim three times in the chest, while the defense lawyer mentioned his client’s autism to justify his reaction.
