American comedian and actor Jo Koy will be at the helm to present the Golden Globes ceremony in early January, film and television awards in search of renewal.

Stand-up comedian, actor in the films “Easter Sunday” and “The Haunted Mansion”, Jo Koy said he was enthusiastic to host the evening which will launch the awards season in Hollywood.

“This is the time I can make my Filipino family proud,” he said.

The ceremony, on January 7 in Beverly Hills (California), will be broadcast on CBS, and not NBC as previously.

One change among others this year for the Golden Globes, which are trying to boost their audiences, which have been at half mast in recent years after controversies.

Leading the nominations this year for cinema, the duo “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer”, which rode to the top of the box office.
