Reuters reported that China is seeking to enhance its strategic partnership with Germany and the European Union, confirming its desire to enhance cooperation on free and pluralistic trade.
During his meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Schultz at the Munich Security Conference (which started on Friday and continues for Sunday), China is ready to deepen comprehensive cooperation with Germany and joint work to promote global peace and stability.
Wang praised Germany’s “rational and practical” position on customs duties imposed by the European Union on the electric cars manufactured in China. He expressed his hope that Germany will continue to play a constructive role in resolving commercial differences between China and the European Union.
Regarding the Russian -Ukrainian conflict, Wang stressed the importance of a peaceful solution, stressing that China and Europe are participating in seeking to achieve this goal. “China is ready to communicate with Germany and relevant parties to strengthen peace talks,” he said.
Wang pointed out that “there are no fundamental conflicts” between China and the European Union, expressing his country’s readiness to enhance mutual understanding and work to achieve global stability, and called for the creation of a balanced and sustainable European security framework, with a focus on addressing joint security issues.
Wang also met with his French counterpart Jean -Nawil Barrow, where they discussed ways to calm commercial tensions, and confirmed that China and France, as two strategic partners, have the ability to deal with issues appropriately.
