A CCTV account on social media platforms on Monday – Monday – said that China, Japan and South Korea have reached a joint response to US customs duties.
It says in a post on the expense of (Yuuan Tantian) in the Weibo platform that Japan and South Korea are seeking to import raw materials for semiconductors from China, and that China is also interested in buying chips products from Japan and South Korea, Reuters reported.
The account added that the three parties agreed to enhance cooperation in the supply chain and engage in a broader dialogue on export controls.
Chinese Minister of Trade and Wang One Tao – Sunday – said China is committed to high -quality development and expanding high -level openness, pledging to share opportunities with all countries, including South Korea and Japan, according to the official Xinhua agency.
He added – during the 13th edition of the tripartite meeting of the ministers of economics and trade between China, Japan and South Korea – that amid the inmate that the global economy faces, on China, Japan and South Korea, as major economies at the regional and global levels, making joint efforts to protect free trade and the multilateral trade system, opposition to unilateral and protective, and advance regional economic integration.

European responses
In France, Trade Minister Laurent Saint Martin said that Paris is still hoping that Europe will avoid a trade war with the United States, but will respond with similar measures if Trump imposes the customs duties he announced on Wednesday.
Also today, European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde said that the possibility of applying customs duties imposed by the United States on April 2 is the beginning of a march towards independence for Europe.

Trump revealed that the anti -declared customs duties this week will include all countries, not a limited number of countries with the broader commercial imbalances with the United States.
“We will start with all countries,” he told reporters on the presidential plane.
