US and Canadian customs jointly announced the reopening of the border between the two countries.
The Lewinston Queensway, Whirpool and Peace bridges, closed following the accident, had already reopened on Wednesday evening.
Canadians who wanted to travel to the United States on Thursday did not have to wait too long to be able to cross, while no delay was listed around noon on the Lewinston Queensway bridge and only around ten minutes for the bridge Peace.
The day before, a car arriving at full speed at the border crossing from the United States exploded around 11:30 a.m. The possibility of an attack was quickly ruled out by the governor of New York State, Kathy Hochul.
