(Washington) The American government announced Wednesday that it would ask airlines to cancel flights starting Friday “to reduce pressure” on air traffic control, which is facing high absenteeism due to the budgetary paralysis.
“We are going to reduce flight capacities by 10% in 40 airports, among the busiest in the country,” Transport Secretary Sean Duffy declared at a press conference.
