A 13-year-old girl was stabbed near the Brooklyn subway in New York on Sunday evening, as police are searching for three suspects.
The victim was stabbed in the abdomen near the Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center station in Prospect Heights shortly before 8 p.m. and was taken to a hospital, the New York Post reported.
No arrests have been made in the case, according to the New York Police Department, but three teenagers aged 16 to 18 were wanted by the police, who have not yet established the circumstances of this armed attack.
This latest knife attack comes as the city has been grappling with a worrying wave of violence among teenagers in recent months, according to a report by the American media.
Recently, a 15-year-old boy was arrested by police for wounding another 13-year-old boy in a shooting near a Bronx subway station, according to the New York tabloid.
