A poll conducted by the European Central Bank, and its results published that Bloomberg Agency published that an increasing number of consumers in the eurozone are ready to abandon American products, in light of the escalation of commercial tensions resulting from the customs policies of US President Donald Trump.
According to the poll, this transformation not only reflects economic motives related to the high prices, but also carries a political and popular position towards the commercial policy pursued by Washington.
Participants considered that the American protectionist policies harm the interests of Europeans and weaken the competitiveness of products in the global markets.
Trump defends the drawings and attacks the “federal reserve”
This poll came at a time when the American President made his dialect in defending his commercial program during an electoral gathering in the state of Michigan on Tuesday, April 29, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of his second term. “We gave them some time before we slaughter them,” Trump said in front of his supporters.

While Trump is promoting his trade policy as a way to re -manufacture into the American interior, major companies such as “General Motors” and “Stelinsis” warned of the repercussions of these fees, noting the possibility of closing factories and demobilization. “Stelncis” temporarily suspended production in a number of its factories in Michigan and Indiana, as well as in the factory in Canada, as a result of the last fees and a shortage of supplies.
In Europe, economist Alexander Weber said that the results of the European Central Bank poll reflecting a “popular mood” shift against American products, stressing that “consumers’ tendency to boycott American goods is gradually increasing with the escalation of fees by Washington.”
