President Joe Biden and Vice President Kalama Harris “never encouraged violence” against Donald Trump, the White House said Tuesday in response to criticism from the Republican candidate.

Mr. Biden and Mr.me Harris have always “strongly condemned any form of violence,” added executive branch spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre. Mr. Trump directly blamed the alleged assassination attempt on him Sunday on the rhetoric of Mr. Biden and his Democratic presidential opponent.
